  After I converted to Catholicism in 2010, I have been at St. Cecilia for five to six years. I help with the kids and many other things at St. Cecilia, and the church relies heavily on volunteers. I am sorry about any bad experiences that someone may have had there.

  I have been going to St. Cecilia, Claremore since moving to Claremore. I have found such friendliness of all the congregation. I loved Fr.Eischof, but I definitely love Fr.Sylvanus. He always finds time for each parishioner. I am truly sorry Eml Towe, that your experience was not a very pleasant one. You mentioned you are stationed in El Paso, Tx. I know then that you did take into consideration of the size of the churches of El Paso and ours. I do not know what church you go to, but I attended mass at Guardian Angel, Most Holy Trinity, St Raphael, Our Lady of the Valley, & St.Patricks Cathedral among Ysleta Mission, and others, which I understand is no longer there. They are bigger churches . The Roman Catholic Faith is predominant in
  El Paso . We are fortunate to have such a great church as St. Cecilia, some families travel farther than I do just to get to a Roman Catholic Church. I am truly sorry your experience was such a bad one. Considering it was Easter Sunday, yes it is very crowded considering our parishioners come from Owasso, Foyil, Chelsea, and Verdigris as well as Claremore. There are benches also for parents to sit with their children while service is going on. Right outside the doors of the pew sitting, as you first enter. I would really hope you would try our little church on some other visit. If it is a Easter Sunday remember to get there at least 30 minutes earlier than mass.

  This was where I was confirmed with Fr. Pickett.
  I would like to comment on the review that was upset that there was no childcare. Most Catholic Churches do not have paid childcare. With Masses that are Holy Days of Obligation, volunteers who are giving of their time may have to attend Mass. Parents are perfectly welcome to bring their children to Mass, how else do children learn about the beauty of the Eucharist and learning how to act during Mass? If someone comes in late to Mass, especially when it is a special Mass such as Easter Vigil, there may be limited, if any, seating available. I express concern about what the previous review is teaching their children when they come expecting to be catered to instead of humbly accepting of the Blessings given through the celebration of the Eucharist.
